Where is your rental base located?

We are located at the edge of the lake, on the commune of Talloires (at about ten kilometers from Annecy). Our base is close to the cycle track and is ideally placed to start your bike ride. Here is our address:

Lake Angon Space

228 route du ponton

74290 - Talloires

GPS coordinates: 45.82936599610887, 6.219145715341435

Can we reserve bikes in advance?

Yes, you can book your bikes online for a day or more. If you want to rent for half a day, go to our rental base in Talloires without reservation.

Reservations must be made at least one day before 10 pm on our Rent a bike page. Decreasing rates are automatically displayed according to the duration of rental.

What are the conditions for free home delivery?

We offer home delivery of bikes for rentals of two days or more, in the communes of Menthon-Saint-Bernard and Talloires (excluding Montmin, bike delivery between 8am and 9am on the day of rental). Reservations must be made no later than 6 p.m. the day before delivery. During busy periods, we cannot always honor all delivery requests. In this case, we will contact you to find a solution.

How many kilometers is the tour of the lake of Annecy ?

The complete tour of the lake is 40 kilometers long, with a very flat relief. The 300m of difference in altitude are concentrated on the coast of Talloires, and the rest is only pleasure! It is advised to go around the lake clockwise to be closer to the water. Find the itinerary and the map of the bike path on our page Bike routes.

How long does it take to cycle around Lake Annecy?

The question here is whether you really want to enjoy this magical place, or just drive around without stopping. Most people drive between 15 and 25km/h so count on 2 to 3 hours. But it would be a pity not to discover the lake more quietly: its numerous beaches and its turquoise water, its natural reserves, its restaurants and bars by the water, its museums, historical monuments, typical villages... the possibilities are endless!

What is breakdown assistance?

For all rentals, we offer a breakdown service in case of a puncture, breakage, fall... Wherever you are around the lake, the mechanic will be able to find a solution and even repatriate your bike if necessary!

What is the autonomy of your electric bikes?

Autonomy depends on many factors:

  • type of course more or less hilly
  • selected level of assistance
  • cyclist's weight
  • wind
  • type of driving

The actual range of our bikes can vary from 50km to 100km depending on the factors listed.

You are responsible for managing your drums, so play it strategic!

How long can I rent a bike from NOMAD BIKE?

The minimum rental period is half a day, up to several weeks.

We offer reduced rates from 2 days of rental!

Will my credit card be charged when I make a reservation?

The full rental amount is debited within 24 hours of your reservation. A deposit is also taken (not debited) when the bikes are collected. You can cancel without charge at least 24 hours before the rental date. See details in our General Rental Conditions.

What payment methods are accepted?

The accepted means of payment are credit card, cash and vacation vouchers. In the case of a reservation with cash payment, we will still need to keep a credit card number to validate the deposit. Do not hesitate to contact us by phone in this case.

What happens if I return the bike late?

Rentals are to be dropped off at the agreed upon time, or show proof of a prior request for an extension. For late arrivals without notification, we reserve the right to charge the following fees:

  • From 30 minutes to 2 hours late: 50% of the total rental amount to be paid
  • More than 2 hours late: 100% of the total rental amount to be paid

What happens if my bike is lost, stolen or damaged?

Every renter is personally responsible for any damage, theft or loss of the rented equipment and its accessories. Damage/loss charges are payable after the return of the rental equipment. In the unfortunate event of a stolen bike, it is your responsibility to report it to the Police and provide us with a copy of the report.

So remember to secure your bike by attaching it to the frame at a fixed point.

Do you have group prices?

Of course! For groups of 8 or more, we offer a 10% discount (one-off payment, excluding delivery reservations).

Is there a weight limit for the person?

The components we have selected as well as our frames are designed for a maximum load of 100 Kg.

Do you have insurance?

NOMAD BIKE has a professional insurance in case of equipment failure. Note that all the equipment is maintained and checked by a Cycle Technician. All renters must have a personal liability insurance.

From what age can I transport my child in the baby seat or in the trailer?

Baby carriers are suitable for children from one year to 4/5 years (9-22 kg), who are able to sit up on their own. The trailers are used for the same ages. The ones we offer can carry 1 to 2 children, up to a maximum weight of 45kg.
